Design safe routes in sensing smart cities

In this project we work on the challenge that is posed by the increasing amount of surveillance in cities.

We explore how to create safe zones and city routes that are free from surveillance for a period of time. This will be done by designing prototypes and interventions. Findings of this explorative project might be used for a new policy for city sensing.

As our cities become more and more intelligent, as systems within the Internet of Things, these 'things' become more and more like real citizens. This project addresses one of the super relevant topics of agency in the hidden structures that shape our future cities.”
